On Wednesday afternoon my lovely friend, Laura and I braved the onslaught of Hampshire rain and headed off to @harbaron6th, the rooftop bar and lounge of the @southamptonharbourhotel, to enjoy afternoon tea at their Flora Adora installation, in partnership with @hendricksgin.
In contrast to the dreichy weather outside, the inside of the sky-high bar had been totally reimagined as an apparently New Forest-inspired pop up for afternoon teas (although there were no free-roaming ponies to be found!) and whilst having panoramic views and a bird’s eye view of the marina below, we found ourselves sitting beneath a floral canopy, bedecked and bursting with flowers, hot air balloons, butterflies and bees!
The floral afternoon tea itself was as pretty as a picture and definitely one for those with a sweet tooth! We had carrot cake disguised as a teeny tiny flower pot, a selection of rolls and finger sandwiches, little wee quiches, raspberry macaroons and even a chocolate garden!
For me however, the highlight was the scone selection (plain and fruit) which were truly yummy - you can’t really go wrong with a classic, can you? - such an integral part to an afternoon tea!
This pop-up experience seems to me that it would be perfect for girls weekends (perhaps with a visit to HarSpa) or for Hampshire parents wishing to treat small people who adore all things pink and pretty; be warned: it’s a helluva sugar high, so be prepared for your group to be leaving feeling a tad hyper and most definitely full!
Afternoon Tea is available daily, 3-5pm.

I wore the ‘Betsy’ dress by @paisielondon and the ‘Vicky’ jean jacket by @kaffeclothing - both from @getclobr. My bedraggled post-school-trip, caught-in-the-rain hair do was all my own doing 😂…
